Clean Sleep, was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur, Michael Ingle. After working outdoors in the extreme Texas heat, Michael fell onto his bare mattress realizing that his dirt, sweat, and bacteria were being absorbed into it. He immediately began researching ways to clean a mattress only to realize that there was not a sound way to thoroughly clean or sanitize one! He got to work and thus began the birth of Clean Sleep.
The Clean Sleep Product
Clean Sleep offers a non-toxic, dry-cleaning machine for mattresses and other textiles. This technology uses a 15-minute, five-step process that leaves the mattress completely dry and 99.9% sanitized, significantly increasing room utilization rates. Our truck-mounted equipment will arrive at your door or at the loading dock of your facility. It can also be installed in large facilities as a stationary unit. This takes most, if not all, of the inconvenience factor away and remains an affordable solution. Clean Sleep Technology delivers a solution for the current need to improve or augment conventional cleaning and disinfection within healthcare facilities.
Clean Sleep Market Share
Since airing in 2016 on ABC’s Shark Tank, Clean Sleep has garnished significant interest in the business. Our first license was sold in November 2016 to Clean Sleep Canada (based in Vancouver) and they have since expanded into a second location in Edmonton. Last year, domestic franchises opened in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Austin. 2018 will see our technology expand into the Middle East with a new location in Qatar. Clean Sleep also plans to open corporate stores in Southern California this year. Additionally, we have recently embarked on a pilot program with a premier transportation company and have another pilot program in final negotiations with an international hospitality brand. We are also actively accepting franchise applications across the U.S. and internationally, and are targeting our expansion within the top 10 largest cities in the U.S.
Financial Condition
Clean Sleep and affiliated companies have generated over $2.5M in revenue from service sales, franchise fees, and licensing deals to date. The company has also secured more than $1.5M in investments in the past two years. Royalties and product sales will be new revenue streams for 2018 in addition to the revenue items mentioned earlier.
