Sales Executive

The Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting and developing sales relationships with potential clients and closing new and expanded sales agreements.

 

The Sales Executive interacts frequently with current/prospective clients and referral sources to network and build relationships.This position also interacts frequently with the Sales Manager and with the sales team during weekly sales meetings.As needed, the Sales Executive will communicate with internal and external partners to request information and ensure a smooth transition to implementation.

 

Expectations/Responsibilities

  • Understand, analyze and determine prospective clients’ needs for payroll, time and attendance, human resources, and other services.
  • Demonstrate products and services to prospective clients by scheduling demos of TPC solutions through internal and external partners.
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients of TPC services that meet clients’ needs.
  • Use persuasive sales techniques to overcome barriers and get buy-in from clients.
  • Provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Obtain commitment from prospective client and close the sales process.
  • Complete and obtain documentation required for the conversion of data from client’s previous payroll provider or in-house solution to the TPC system.
  • Work directly with internal departments to ensure client has a smooth transition to new payroll provider.
  • Develop prospects through cold calling, referrals, professional and personal contacts and other sources.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to determine needs for additional services.
  • Keep records of all activities relating to sales process in assigned territory, such as sales calls, presentations, follow-up and closed sales.
  • Travel to client sites and attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote TPC services.
  • Participate in weekly sales department meetings.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
