eLearning Program Manager

Providence Staffing LLC - Atlanta, GA

Providence Staffing’s energy client is seeking an eLearning Program Manager at their office in Atlanta, GA. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced eLearning modules for the commercial nuclear power industry. In this role, you will functions as a lead developer in working groups with subject matter experts and contractors to help create the content for technical eLearning modules and then apply software authoring and instructional design expertise to create and maintain engaging training modules. This is not a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop quality eLearning courses using Lectora or Storyline and other digital assets for industrial and technical training hosted on an industry-wide eLearning platform.
  • Develops/revises courses or modules with assistance by subject matter experts in accordance with client’s department procedures and guidelines in accordance with client’s department procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare supportive instructional materials (e.g. instructional design documents, lesson plans, change logs, storyboards, templates, models, prototypes, style guides, case studies, simulations, video scripts)
  • Load, test, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for eLearning courseware on the host LMS
  • Create eLearning exams with subject matter expert assistance
  • Conduct and report on exam analysis and implement improvements; periodically update exam banks
  • Evaluate and respond to student feedback
  • Periodically evaluate effectiveness of training courses, including participating in industry reviews and curriculum oversight committees
  • Assist in the creation of eLearning developer standards
  • Present information at meetings and workshops
  • Work independently with little supervisory oversight but as part of a team
  • Write and review technical documents
  • Interface with a broad spectrum of personnel from senior leadership to subject matter experts (SMEs) in order to identify training needs and develop training solutions
  • Prepare information for meetings and workshops
  • Interface with client, contractor, and utility personnel at all levels
  • Participate in industry-related seminars, meetings and workshops to improve knowledge and skills in assigned specialty area
  • Identify gaps and assist in developing action plans to improve programs, processes and procedures including escalation to key stakeholders as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 2 or more years’ experience in the design and development of eLearning training using an eLearning authoring tool, and working with subject matter experts to create an eLearning course from start to finish (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation)
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop interactive eLearning courses, using Lectora and Storyline authoring tools. (Meets level 2 development standards as defined in the department Professional Capability Definitions. -Based on Chapman Alliance 2010)

    Preferred Experience

  • Relevant Associations for Talent Development (ATD), International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), or other professional instructional design certification
  • 5 or more years experience in design and development of eLearning training
  • Experience with the use of HTML5 or JavaScript in eLearning development
  • Project planning and management experience
  • Project Management certification
  • 2 or more years of nuclear plant experience
  • Experience as an instructor

Compensation:

The salary for this position is based on qualifications and experience. Relocation package will be offered for candidates that need to relocate to Atlanta, GA.
