Providence Staffing’s energy client is seeking a Data Scientist Program Manager for their office in Atlanta, GA. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and improving multiple programs, processes and procedures important to the mission and strategy of the organization. Also, will be responsible for developing high-quality work products, completes assigned tasks, and communicates cross-functionally. This is not a remote position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and analysis of new performance methods, indicators, and indices to measure plant performance using neural and/or linear modeling, applying artificial intelligence and/or machine learning with a use of natural language processing
  • Challenge/improve existing models, as well as determine model accuracy and precision
  • Support the modification and update of current analyses and methods, indicators, and indices to measure plant performance
  • Develop and maintain applications, databases, and methods that process plant performance information
  • Secure sensitive plant performance information
  • Validate/test applications that meet business requirements, as required
  • Develop new techniques for computational analysis of industry performance
  • Communicate data-driven results and insights through data visualization using Tableau, etc.
  • Ability to continuously improve analytical and computational skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with emphasis in analysis techniques-preferred
  • Two or more years of data science experience
  • Strong knowledge in use and development of software applications with strong emphasis and working knowledge of R
  • Strong knowledge in natural language processing (NLP) methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau, as well as other analysis tools
  • Strong knowledge in statistical analysis, optimization, and simulation techniques
  • Strong knowledge in supervised and unsupervised machine learning modeling techniques

Compensation:

This compensation range is based on qualifications and experience.
