Presales Solutions Architect

The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is responsible for providing  technical expertise and developing the technology solutions corresponding to pre-sales opportunities. This role will work in a highly collaborative environment creating customer proposals and, in some cases, assist in presenting the proposals to potential customers. This role will align with the Technology team and be viewed as a consultative resource for Sales. Our ideal candidate has a broad technical background and enjoys the challenge of taking business initiatives and technical requirements to create sound business cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect technical customer requirements directly from Sales and/or through a customer consultant, and subsequently develop solutions/designs utilizing those requirements
  • Support the sales process by securing the technical conversion and designing client deliverables, based on an understanding of client needs and our capabilities
  • Serve as a domain expert in Microsoft cloud technologies to the sales team and technical lead on strategic client relationships
  • Lead pre-sales engineering activities including technical discovery, technical value proposition, architectural guidance
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the overall Silicus technology portfolio and the competitive landscape
  • Work closely with key client executive decision makers on product evaluations and proof of concepts to ensure the solutions/products meets client objectives
  • Participation in workshops/seminars/ sales and marketing events for all pre-sales efforts onsite as and when required.
  • Keeps Sales apprised of technical updates, and similarly keeps the Engineering and Product Development teams aware of new and/or unique technical requirements
  • Provide accurate reporting to the business for all opportunities, including updating Salesforce

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • 3+ years Technical Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering experience or equivalent experience - practitioners are welcome as well
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft infrastructure: Azure IaaS, Office 365, Security (Azure PaaS preferred)
  • Experience with implementing technology solutions to mid-size and large dynamic enterprise companies
  • Above average problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding customer handling skills preferably in delivery roles
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of attention to detail
  • A relentless work ethic and a desire to learn new skills develop additional expertise and improve personally
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and willing to take ownership
  • B.S. degree in an engineering or similar or equivalent experience
