Overview:
This position will Lead across functions and departments internally and interface where required with customers to schedule and ensure progress of projects for the success of NSK in meeting sales and profitability objectives. Projects can be, but are not limited to, new application development, new product development, product realization and rationalization, customer programs and opportunities, process to improve customer opportunities and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
. In addition, this position will;
Lead project and program teams as directed by Industrial Management to ensure on-time delivery, project success and achievement of objectives.
Lead efforts to scope project objectives, create budgets, schedules, and action plans to ensure objectives are achieved.
Assists project team leaders with the development of a variety of program management skills.
Will report to Director of OEM Sales America and Sr. Industrial Management Team while working interactively with all NSK Plants globally as required to support projects.
The ideal candidate is a well-organized process-oriented self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, has an innate drive for success and works with people in a cross-functional structure to achieve exceptional results.
Activities and Responsibilities
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required (can be in the progress of acquiring certification within next six (6) months)
Acts as an information conduit between NSK and the customer when required. Communicates NSK information to the customer and their information back to NSK.
Prepares, files and communicates all customer and NSK requirements.
Holds regular team meetings with all required team member both internal and external while documenting minutes of meetings thoroughly and promptly
Manages program budgets and financials to meet project goals.
Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate actions for risk mitigation.
Ensures that program activities comply with all relevant customer and NSK standards.
Develops new initiatives to support the continued development of the NSK program management system.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth.
Build and manage a rich project funnel and diligently manage it by utilizing the existing CRM platform.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Coordinates the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
Forecasts customer needs and relays customer requirements to appropriate NSK sales and support personnel.
Supports and implements company goals, objectives and special assignments as requested.
Provides advanced technical support and training to customers other NSK personnel.
Supports the Regional sales teams as they relate to customer visits and technical support in the field as needed.
Qualifications:
This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.
