Vendor Client Manager

At Shelf Engine, we’re harnessing the power of AI to provide real-time, intelligent forecasting for food retailers like grocery stores, food service, and cafes across the United States. We’re able to drastically reduce the amount of food waste which in turn drives profit for retailers, lowers costs for consumers, and reduces the ecological impact of waste.

As part of our customer experience team, we are hiring a Vendor Client Manager that will use your finesse to onboard new customers onto our platform and be the go-to person for our awesome customers. Support our system growth by analyzing and inputting necessary customer orders. This isn't easy. We're early in the market, it's a new type of product and we need you to tap your greatest operational, critical thinking, analytical and customer communication skills.

You are:

  • Detailed, analytical and savvy
  • Able to manage a wide range of tasks from hand-entering data to researching and documenting new processes and opportunities with each of our awesome customers
  • A good conversationalist. We work together all day, so let's enjoy it.
  • Skilled at talking to a customer genuinely and clearly (tactical empathy is your first language)
  • Great at getting it done well and getting it done efficiently

You're already excellent in:

  • Supporting and communicating with customers
  • Understanding project flows and being a key player in ensuring a successful completion
  • Managing sales and operational needs for customer accounts efficiently
  • Clearly communicating with team members
  • Entering and reviewing large data sets while still seeing and being detailed day to day

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of experience customer service experience
  • Food service industry experience in ordering, preferable
  • Intermediate excel, preferable
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable
