Vision Media is a small, media buying advertising agency in Bellevue, WA that works with awesome clients such as the Museum of Flight, Coca-Cola, Overlake, Supercuts and more. We are in search of a Managing Director of Media - someone that wants a hands-on role to grow quickly in their career all the way to COO! We are looking for someone to provide strategic leadership, account growth/acquisition, and subject-matter guidance to not only our clients but as well as to our team. The Managing Director of Media will have extensive knowledge of media planning, purchasing advertising and will be responsible for selling new accounts as well as overseeing planning, research, negotiating, development, execution reporting of all tactical media plans for media placement: digital, TV, cable, radio, and print. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overall this is growth and account leadership role across the entire company. You'll be selling side by side with our CEO!
  • Defines Video Strategy (TV, Streaming, Addressable, etc.)
  • Defines Cross-Channel Media Strategy that aligns with goals & KPIs, supported by all media team leads, Digital Marketing Buyer staff. Serves as a subject-matter expert internally.
  • Defines Media Mix Priorities for each customer account.
  • Oversees media performance- including Media Mix optimizations with Senior Media Buyers and Planners.
  • Advise on targeting methodologies to be used across campaigns, defining a system where campaigns compliment and do not cannibalize each other.
  • Educate all team members on media planning and buying methodologies, allowing them to manage implementation within their assigned campaigns.
  • Steward & execute all media in ongoing programs.
  • Coordinate creative kick-offs (with Integrated Programs Team and/or FTL Digital Account Team).
  • Create Tags (troubleshoot Tagging & Delivery issues) where applicable.
  • Approve Partner Invoicing.
  • Review delivery metrics daily to ensure we are meeting customer goals.

Ideal Candidate will have experience with:

  • Must have strong knowledge of a broad range of media Programmatic (Display & Video), Partner-direct buys, ad networks/DSPs, Sponsorships, Group Deals, and coordination of budget tracking.
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in advertising, marketing, media, or similar.
  • 10+ years of media planning and account management experience with a proven track record of sales or growing accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of online media campaign/tracking tools.
  • Directly managing and supervising a media team.
  • A self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Eagerness to take ownership of assigned tasks and work with a broader agency team and move towards a C-level role over time.
  • Exemplary presentation, communication writing skills
