Our Finance team has an opening for a stellar Sr. Financial Analyst to work closely with the Director and VP of Finance. In this role you’ll be responsible for providing visibility into our financial performance, manage projects and deliver insights. In this role you will:

  • Prepare monthly dashboards, including analysis of financial and operational metrics from multiple sources

  • Prepare variance analysis and research key causes

  • Deliver month-end and quarter-end reporting, including routine communication with management on identified issues

  • Perform complex business modeling, forecasting, and budgeting functions

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance

  • Create and maintain database files, financial models and forecasts

  • Review data discrepancies and recommends solutions to improve accuracy

  • Maintain and update all Hearst Health and MCG process improvement projects

  • Work across departments with management team to resolve issues, enhance processes, and ensure quality

  • Manage special projects as needed

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You’ve got 8+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, and report development

  • You have a working knowledge of US GAAP, deferrals, accruals, budgeting, and systems preferred

  • You have strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills

  • You’re very comfortable MS Excel and able to learn new software applications

  • You are team oriented and able to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • You enjoy building consensus across business functions and have the confidence to share information and make judgment calls

  • You are proactive, flexible regarding changing work priorities, and able to manage multiple projects

  • You work well under pressure, juggling tasks and working efficiently against deadlines with excellent time management skills

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree, though MBAs are great too
