Human Resources Generalist

The Position

The Human Resources team at Seattle Genetics is in need of a Human Resources Generalist whose primary accountability will be to provide strong HR business support to key client groups.

As an HR Generalist, this role will be accountable for diving into client-related work in Development, G&A and Research, including the following:

  • Partner with our recruiting team and hiring managers to help staffing efforts among client groups
  • Assist and support basic employee relations issues including proper documentation
  • Partner with compensation on items such as promotions, leveling, and compensation-related inquiries from employees
  • Partner with recruiting on processes and coordination with compensation
  • Facilitate the administration of standard HR processes from intake to completion
  • Answer routine and basic questions from employees and managers and field to HR Ops or escalate to appropriate HRBP as necessary
  • Coordinate scheduling of key process milestones, including talent planning and equity planning, and provide support through preparation of materials, etc. to HRBP
  • Educate managers on basic processes
  • Collaborate across the HR department effectively as necessary to support process and program administration
  • Document current state of processes owned by HRBPs
  • Coordinate with HR Ops and design basic reports
  • Help coordinate HRBPs calendars and occasionally update meetings
  • Cover interviews from time to time
  • Help manage employee workflows around awards, remote work and job requisition approvals

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should have at least 1-3 years of professional Human Resources experience working for a high growth company known for innovative people practices, a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and collaborative culture. A significant portion of this experience should be in a client-facing function.

This individual should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Understand the business and fashion HR strategies that drive results
  • Best in class staffing skills and process knowledge
  • Knowledge of market analysis, job pricing, job leveling, and other technical fundamentals of compensation management
  • Exceptional consultative skills and ability to resolve issues
  • Ability to coach and influence employees at all levels throughout the company
  • Strong project management and change management skills to effectively design, socialize and execute significant HR and business change
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • The candidate should have a B.S or B.A. degree. An SPHR or similar HR credential would also be desired
