At Shelf Engine, we’re harnessing the power of AI to provide real-time, intelligent forecasting for food retailers like grocery stores, food service, and cafes across the United States. We’re able to drastically reduce the amount of shrink (food waste) which in turn drives profit for retailers, lowers costs for consumers, and reduces the ecological impact of waste. We’re using technology to solve a globally-relevant problem that both creates a positive environmental impact and an exciting (and potentially massive) commercial opportunity.

We are hiring a Head of Customer Success that will represent the Shelf Engine product with our highest tier customers. You will be a natural presenter, balancing both in-depth technical knowledge and business logic to deliver complex data insights to Executive-level stakeholders. In addition, your relationship building skills will help land and expand our scaling customer base.

As a Head of Customer Success you will:

  • Lead our Customer Success efforts and help grocery stores and food providers across the US reduce food waste and increase profits

  • Bring strong subject matter expertise to the table, and work with Executive-level customer stakeholders to help them embrace our industry-disrupting technology

  • Be a hands-on lead that is responsible for mentoring a small Customer Success team

  • Be the voice of your customers, collaborating with our internal teams to shape new features and help us rapidly develop a product that’s even more impactful

  • Focus on moving the needle with respect to the client’s KPIs and continuously showcase the value of Shelf Engine’s platform throughout the Pilot Program period

And our Ideal with Head of Customer Success will have:

  • 5-7 years experience running a thriving Customer Success organization in the SaaS or food-services industry

  • Demonstrated Experience in handling relationships with VP, SVP, and C-level executives of F1000 companies - ideally within grocery, food service, hospitality, or similar.

  • Established relationships within top-tier national Grocery, Food, Hospitality, or CPG brands

  • An analytical approach to problem-solving along with project management experience and ability to anticipate and mitigate risks

  • Track record of delivering growth and driving operational efficiency

  • Ability to travel 30% to facilitate in-person meetings nationwide

  • Bonus Points: POS system and EDI integration knowledge
