Global, multi-billion dollar consumer products company is looking for a sharp Tax Compliance Manager at their headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires strong expertise in tax law, both domestic and international, as well as in tax compliance software, project management, and process improvements.
$135k- $155k base + 10% bonus

Responsibilities:
US Federal Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and calculate book-to-tax differences and handle annual tax return filings, extensions, and quarterly estimate calculations.
- Manage foreign tax credits and international-related forms for inbound and outbound transactions.
- Ensure compliance for income/non-income tax filings for affiliated companies, including subsidiaries, LLCs, and disregarded entities.
- Manage special elections and disclosures, such as accounting method changes and check-the-box elections.
- Lead the annual R&D study.
State and Local Tax Compliance:
- Oversee the state tax process, including apportionment analysis, modifications, and reviewing state tax returns.
- Manage preparation for e-filing and ensure timely returns and quarterly estimates.
Tax Compliance Process Improvements:
- Work on streamlining tax compliance processes and improving automation.
- Manage and enhance the use of tax compliance software.
Quarterly Provisions:
- Assist with the analysis of new legislation and apply it to quarterly provisions.
- Calculate depreciation for tax purposes for quarterly provisions.
Non-Income Tax Filings:
- Handle excise tax and other non-income tax filings, including information reporting.
Cross-Departmental Support:
- Provide tax technical support and respond to inquiries from other departments and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Education:
- A BA/BS in Accounting or Finance is required.
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in tax compliance, including in a Big 4 firm and/or multinational corporate setting.
- Hands-on experience with the compliance process, tax provision calculations, and audits.
- This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in US tax compliance, a strong understanding of international tax matters, and a drive for process improvement and automation in tax functions.

- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with global teams.
- Expertise in US tax law (domestic and international), particularly in areas like income taxes, foreign tax credits, and state taxes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax software
- Experience with ERP systems like Hyperion, HFM, Oracle ERP.
