Senior Manager-SEC Reporting

A high-growth multinational company in the North Valley of Los Angeles County is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of SEC Reporting to join its dynamic team. This highly visible role is ideal for a detail-oriented, deadline-driven accounting professional with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC compliance, and technical accounting concepts.

**$180-$200K base + 15-20% annual bonus**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy, Form 4, etc.)
  • Draft and review consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules
  • Conduct technical accounting research and prepare formal accounting memos
  • Manage all aspects of the external reporting calendar in coordination with auditors and internal teams
  • Oversee the full SEC filing process, including document compilation and submission using tools such as DFIN or Workiva
  • Review and support accounting for stock-based compensation and partner with third-party equity administration providers
  • Complete quarterly debt covenant analysis and assist with SOX compliance
  • Apply advanced understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to senior leadership
  • Support cross-functional projects to drive efficiencies in reporting and compliance

 

Qualifications:

  • CPA required (active or in progress)
  • 5+ years total experience
  • 2+ years of SEC reporting experience in a public company environment
  • Public accounting background strongly preferred (Big 4 or national firm)
  • 2+ years of corporate accounting/finance experience
  • Hands-on experience with DFIN, Workiva, or equivalent disclosure tools
  • Strong understanding of stock-based compensation and technical accounting topics
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Financial Analysis
  • Familiarity with international exchange filings is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
