The Enterprise Leader Assistant is responsible for guiding and supporting Thrive Community citizens (adults with special needs) in the production of goods for sale. This role requires creativity, patience, and strong leadership to ensure both successful product outcomes and personal growth for each citizen.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document manufacturing workflows and steps for each product.
  • Assess citizens’ strengths and adapt tasks to match their abilities.
  • Assign and oversee tasks, ensuring a supportive and positive environment.
  • Lead the team with enthusiasm and encouragement.
  • Manage inventory and request necessary supplies.
  • Design and implement efficient process flows and workstation setups.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Attend parent-citizen meetings, staff meetings, and board meetings as needed.
  • Create and maintain personal development plans for each citizen.
  • Conduct tours for prospective citizens, families, and donors.
  • Innovate and experiment with approaches to maximize each citizen’s success.
  • Accommodate individual needs in the workplace (e.g., calm environment, structured setup).


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with adults with special needs.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role (e.g., teacher, camp counselor, coach, or similar role).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
