Position Summary
We are seeking an execution-focused Vice President of Operations to lead our production, scheduling, materials, and operational systems functions. This executive will play a key role in ensuring outstanding delivery performance and efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing operations, a passion for process optimization, customer success and the strategic capability to drive automation and scalable systems as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution & Production Management
- Oversee end-to-end daily operations across manufacturing, raw materials, and fulfillment to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the production floor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Procurement, Compliance and Sales) to align priorities and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Scheduling & Capacity Planning
- Lead production scheduling and resource planning to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement demand-driven scheduling systems that ensure material and labor readiness while maintaining flexibility.
- Balance customer priorities with operational constraints to maintain high service levels.
Material Availability & Inventory Coordination
- Ensure raw material and component availability aligns with production needs through close coordination with Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure customer success through a disciplined planning, forecasting, and supplier alignment process.
- Improve and support warehouse and inventory operations to support a lean, responsive production environment.
Automation & Scalability
- Identify, evaluate, and implement tools, systems, and technologies that streamline workflows and enhance visibility.
- Champion the design and rollout of current automation platforms with a vision for future ERP tools to support scale.
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms that enable real-time decision-making and operational insight.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, building capabilities across production management, planning, and systems.
- Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented culture that supports employee growth and engagement.
- Align operational functions with broader company strategy and contribute to executive-level planning and decisions.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in food, beverage, supplements, or CPG environments.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements, reducing lead times, and enhancing delivery performance.
- Strong systems orientation—experience implementing software planning tools.
- Deep understanding of scheduling, MRP, materials management, and capacity modeling.
- High sense of urgency, analytical problem-solving skills, and hands-on leadership style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
