Our client is a well-established manufacturer’s representative in the plumbing and heating industry, serving since 1959. They collaborate with architects, engineers, wholesalers, and contractors in the Upper New York and Northwest Pennsylvania regions. Due to their growth, they are seeking to fill an opening for an estimator to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable individual who can review blueprints or construction documents, prepare bids and proposals, and maintain communication with clients throughout the project. They are willing to train the right person who has a strong desire to learn about the plumbing and HVAC industries, along with a solid technical aptitude.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships.
- Communicate with prospective clients to determine their needs
- Perform pre-proposal tasks, including on-site measurements and creating drawings/designs.
- Develop accurate proposals based on material and equipment.
- Coordinate project documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple departments on projects.
- Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Review estimates with the project team.
- Manage customer service for all clients.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Support all business aspects of the company as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), along with strong sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in various software programs (including Word and Excel).
- Effective presentation skills.
