Locums – Jacksonville, Florida Area Trauma Surgeon

• Clinical Role:
• Seeking someone Board-Certified in General Surgery & Surgical Critical Care (Acute Care Surgery or Trauma Surgery)
• Coverage:
• ASAP – Ongoing with up to 14 Shifts Per Month Available
• Work 12 Hours In-House Coverage and then take 12-Hour Back-Up Call with a 30-minute response time. Rarely get called in.
• Respond to Trauma Codes (Emergency, General Surgery & Round in Trauma ICU)
• Required:
• 2 Years of Recent Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Experience (With Case Logs)
• 28 Trauma Cases with an average of 7 Cases per quarter within last year
• ATLS
• DEA
• Clean Background
• Level II Trauma Designation
• Average Trauma Admits: 2,000 per Year (Penetrating: 11%, Blunt: 86.6, Burn
• Average Trauma Team Activation per Year: 648
• 230 – Bed Facility
