Locums - Reading, Pennsylvania, Non-Invasive Cardiology Job

• Non-Invasive Cardiologists needed
• First: Ambulatory Office Support
• 1 FTE. Monday-Friday outpatient 800-1700. Expectation 16 outpatient encounters seeing a mix of new, established and urgent patients (focus new referrals and pre-op clearances).
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
• Support staff available - MAs, RNs, Patient Service Reps (1 MA for OVs, 1-4 Registration Staff for OVs, Multiple triage RNs available if needed.)
• Age of patients - 18+ (no PEDs)
• Outpatient/Ambulatory
• Only requirement is outpt cardiology
• Second: Inpatient Rounding
• 1 FTE. Monday-Friday inpatient rounding 800-1700. Expectation commonly 10-20 patients seeing both follow up and consults rarely extending to 25 total encounters.

• Average Number of Admissions per shift - 10-20 consults per shift (mix of follow and consults).
• What support staff is available - RNs, APPs
• Age of patients - 18+ (no PEDs)
• Inpatient/Hospital
• Beds in the Department 700+ of beds in hospital (rounding in multiple depts/floors…ICU)
• Admissions Required Yes (1 or less weekly. Predominantly consult service.)
• Only requirement is rounding/inpatient
• Third: Inpatient Weekend Support
• 2 Locums. Saturday and Sunday rounding 800-1700, pager call 24 hours from 800 Saturday to 800 Sunday. Expectation commonly 10-20 patients seeing both follow up and consults rarely extending to 25 total encounters. Echos, stresses and ecgs reading split among 2 Locums.

• Call will be for assigned, unassigned, or both assigned and unassigned patients Assigned (Fellow takes 1st Call)
• Call response time required? 15 min? 20 min? 15 mins call back. 30 mins for hospital return.

• Average Phone consults 0-3 per shift
• Average patients seen while on call 0-1 per shift
