Locums - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, OB Hospitalist Job

• Shifts per month needed: 14
• Shift times: 24 hours – start time TBD
• NICU level: Newborn nursery only
• Total Hospital Deliveries (Annually): 460
• Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists (not including deliveries) (Annually): 470
• Expected patients per day: 1-2
• Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists (monthly): 17
• Type of patients, cases, procedures distribution: Emergent gyn only. Strong push for vaginal deliveries.
• Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage: Emergency only
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists: Yes
• Backup Available to the Hospitalists: No
• Hospitalists to Backup Midwives: No – but midwives are in-house for the hospital, so will need to be able to work collaboratively with them. This is very important to the hospital administration.
• Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice: No
• MFM onsite? Onsite Monday and Thursday – available by phone 24/7
• In-house Anesthesia? In-house during the day. Will stay at the hospital if they are aware of an upcoming delivery. Otherwise, need to call them to come in.
• BC and Truly BE okay
• Active PA License required: Yes
• Other certificates required (life support, etc.): NRP only
• Is there a minimum Delivery cases required to work at this site: 100 within the last 24 months
• COVID vaccine required
