Overview:

This a critical new role for a very successful manufacturing food plant. Successful candidate will have strong supply chain/inventory and logistics experience along with solid SME experience utilizing and managing ERP systems. This client utilizes SAP; however, will consider candidates with other strong ERP systems experience (Oracle, Sage, Epicor etc.) Must be able to perform duties/requirements with minimum supervision. Typical duties include various office functions; gathering data from various sources; summarizing information; assisting in maintaining good relations with customers, suppliers, truckers, and warehouse personnel; and working with sales for a thorough and efficient sales office. Leadership to office personnel and on-the-floor presence in warehouse for inventory management and error resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall scheduling, transportation and inventory for WNY campus. This includes collection of bills of ladings and COAs for customers, entry of sales orders, stock transfer orders into SAP and maintenance of inventory records in SAP. SAP responsibilities may include completing inventory transfers, STOs, GI, GR, inventory postings, process order confirmations, process order creations, and invoicing for payments
  • Maintain SAP work on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule as needed to meet the needs of WNY campus and other functional areas that are dependent upon the information
  • Maintain communication with WNY plant teams, customer service, sales and operations planning, the Northeast Area, and other departments throughout the company to complete responsibilities
  • Facilitate conversations between sales/brokers, transportation, production schedulers/plant employees, customers, and other affected individuals to review, coordinate, and/or resolve change requests, time frame issues, or logistics issues such as shortages, transportation, and product availability
  • Assist with scheduling farms, volumes, pickups, and deliveries pertaining to the kosher schedule
  • Prepare and submit weekly milk orders for WNY Campus and handle logistics for WNY Campus by preparing shipping schedules and documents for shipping and scheduling transportation as needed
  • Create customer load out documentation
  • Ensure that balancing is in sync with customer orders and shipments and manage inventories within WNY campus
  • Function as an escalation point (SME) for questions or issues from the office team regarding SAP
  • Assist staff in maintaining relations with customers and suppliers
  • Train new Office Services Specialists and other personnel as needed
  • Research and follow up on credits for disputes on damages and shortages
  • Serve as back up to general office positions for WNY campus
  • Model a customer centric culture across the WNY campus
  • Maintain and enhance the reputation of the company among its customers and vendors
  • Perform warehouse duties as necessary in coordination with warehouse supervisor

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Office related experience coupled with leadership aptitude or team leadership experience
  • SAP knowledge and prior experience with inventory systems preferred

 Qualifications:

  • SAP and inventory systems knowledge or other ERP systems requires/a must
  • Thorough knowledge of department’s function, scope, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to meet time schedules and deadlines
  • Able to apply sound judgment and discretion
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and all levels of management
