Manufacturing Engineer, CNC (Direct Hire)
Remedy Professional Services is currently aiding in a search for a Manufacturing Engineer on first shift for a manufacturer in the Farmington area.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of tight-tolerance, highly engineered CNC machined parts for the aerospace, medical, and recreation industries with plant operations that include state-of-the-art equipment (5-axis machines, vertical & horizontal mills and lathes), a deburr, and an EDM area.
Duties:
- Provides engineering and technical support for the installation, debug and setup of automated equipment and tooling on new processes based on a solid understanding of customer specs and requirements.
- Manages assigned projects and develop structured approaches to achieve milestones, report variances, etc.
- Leads efforts in process improvement initiatives on various jobs to increase productivity.
- Quotes new projects.
- Troubleshoots production problems with respect to machine tools, programming and fixture design.
- Helps build positive working relationships with our customers and vendors.
- Responds to customer and vendor requests/inquiries in an expedited manner.
- Resolves daily production constraints due to technical, maintenance, material or scheduling problems.
- Will occasionally program and set up new jobs
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a machine shop or similar environment.Experience programming 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, mill-turns, swiss lathes and EDM processes preferred
- High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical fields preferred.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in SPC and GD&T.
- Experience using Mastercam, PartMaker and or UG NX software. Solidworks a plus.
- Project management experience required.
- ISO 9000 experience/knowledge.
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol and Hiedenhain controls preferred.
- Aerospace, optics and/or medical equipment manufacturer experience preferred.
- Proven work ethic and have a “hands-on” approach to achieve results when required.
- Ability to think outside the box on complex issues.
- Able to promote, build and work in a team environment.
- Able to quote complex Aerospace, Medical and Optics parts and assemblies is a plus.
This position will pay $70-80K with quarterly profit sharing.
