CNC Lathe Programmer (Direct Hire)

Remedy Professional Services is currently aiding in a search for a full-time, direct-hire CNC Lathe Programmer for our client. This position will work from 7am-3:30pm, with overtime available.


Our client is a manufacturer in Sodus that’s been in business for decades.


The CNC Programmer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and controlling the machining processes in the facility’s machine shop area.



  • Develop new and improve existing machining programs using MasterCam
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes most of the time, with some mills as well
  • Responsible for the basic upkeep and corrections to programs as well as the associated files, structures, and paperwork.
  • Control, design, and manage tooling, fixtures, and time standard requirements.
  • Review existing machine practices for produceability and cost effectiveness.
  • Utilize root cause and corrective action processes.
  • Read blueprints and work orders



  • 2 years CNC Programming and machine shop experience.
  • Experience on lathes required, mill experience is also helpful
  • Proven ability with MasterCam, or similar software.
  • Ability to interpret industry and customer specifications and establish controls to achieve compliance.


This position will pay $25-33/hr.
