Quality Manager / Direct Hire / $85-100K

 

Remedy Professional Services is currently recruiting for a full-time, direct-hire Quality Manager position on the day shift.

Our client is a manufacturing facility in Geneva.

 

The successful candidate will plan, coordinate and direct quality programs and activities, designed to ensure quality control and quality reliability of manufactured products. They will have two direct reports – a quality engineer and continuous improvement engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead site quality leaders and engineers in the adoption of Problem Solving activities.
  • Develop a Continuous Improvement and Training strategy for the facility.
  • Be Involved with the development of a new products or major customers.
  • Identify and prioritize the quality goals according to the facility business plan.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Quality KPIs and the Cost of Product Quality. Train the quality managers with the Global Quality KPIs and the Cost of Product Quality.
  • Provide direction for the development of the Supplier Quality process.
  • Be responsible for key account interactions and reduction of Customer Claims
  • Provide monthly quality performance report (KPIs-CoPQ-Other) and perform once per year the Conformity of Product Audit.
  • Contribute to management teams within the plant organization.
  • Lead implementation of ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
  • Lead APQP/PPAP activities with key accounts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience in Advanced Process Control Systems
  • Background in statistics with process improvement experience.
  • Proficient in all basic quality tools, i.e., 8D, DMAIC, root cause analysis, 5Why, Ishikawa, etc.
  • Proficient in creating and interpreting data reports
  • Green Belt level of statistical knowledge or training on SPC, DOE, other statistical tools.
  • Proficient in ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements and implementation
  • Comfortable on the manufacturing floor and interacting with workers on the floor

 

Certified QE is a plus.

This position will pay $85-100K + bonus potential.
