Job Title: Foreman

Compensation: $35.00 – 45.00/hr. Base Rate + Prevailing Wage

Our client, a respected contractor based in Upstate NY, is expanding natural gas services into additional geographies in Central NY.

We are searching for a qualified gas foreman to lead a designated crew in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation and reconditioning of natural gas distribution systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Guide the crew (3-5 crew members) towards goal achievement.
• Plan, organize and delegate the daily work activities among crew members.
• Identify potential problems; develop and implement solutions.
• Enforce Company policies, standard work procedures, and job-site safety
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems.
• Communicate with support staff regarding time worked, safety and productivity measures, accidents and injuries, and property or vehicle damage, for proper handling and tracking of these activities.
• Complete daily data & time entry.
• Handle minor customer complaints and inquiries. Escalate issues internally, if necessary.
• Ensure that the overall quality of work performed by the crew meets or exceeds standards and expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• NGA Certification Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to operate construction equipment as needed
• Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Travel throughout the assigned territory
• 2+ years as a crew lead or foreman managing gas projects
• CDL, Class A preferred but not required
