As the Software Engineer, you will document business process flows, customer journeys, and data dictionaries and gather application requirements. You will develop user stories, document acceptance criteria, and develop sprint backlog in Rally. You will also configure digital applications using modern low and no-code platforms. Additionally, you will:

  • Participate in sprint grooming, demos, and retrospection meetings with business stakeholders
  • Perform unit and peer testing, and fix defects reported by the QA team
  • Guide business through user acceptance testing, and fix defects reported by the QA and UAT teams
  • Become a professional in low and no-code development platforms and help users navigate more complex features throughout the implementation phase
  • Develop a strong trusted advisor relationship with key client stakeholders
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems
  • Prepare detailed design specifications from which programs will be written
  • Design, code, test, and debug documents and maintains application programs
  • Consult with users or other IT professionals to resolve issues with programs
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines
  • Provide estimates for planned work
  • Maintain and develops business knowledge and customer relationships

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 1 year of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, and/or Configuration Specialist interfacing directly with business to understand their needs, create solutions, and drive implementation of software products
  • Bachelor's degree in math, engineering, MIS, or computer science or equivalent practical experience in a technical or engineering field
  • Experience documenting business processes, exposure to standardizing data, and functional experience in banking, capital markets or insurance
  • Familiarity with SQL/relational databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and work in a role that requires an engineering mindset and eagerness to learn new technical skills quickly [ # ] years of experience

Great Additional Skills:

  • Web application development experience in JavaScript, Java, or .NET, or development (coding) along with API integration experience
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
