As the Sales and Account Manager, you will ensure the successful proposal and capture of consulting services and projects awarded through the business development and sales efforts of your assigned team. You will support a team of Account Managers who arrange and participate in meetings with customers and potential customers to probe business and IT requirements, uncovering outsourced, managed services, and project-based engagements. You will create statements of work (SOWs) and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) on both a proactive and reactive basis. You will hire and train regional and local account managers and staff. You will organize and oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local account managers. You will conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. You will handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. You will provide leadership to the sales team. You will motivate and encourage the sales team to ensure quotas are met. You will review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets. You will identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts. You will assign territories and set quotas for sales teams. You will consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs. You will resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations. You will collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies. You will prepare sales budgets, monitor, and approve expenses. You will also act as company representative at trade association meetings.
