As the Systems Developer II - Java 8 - IT146, you will provide systems analysis, design, development, testing, and support on highly complex technical information system components. You will design and develop components and services according to specifications within a team environment. You will also prepare detailed system documentation including requirements, specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Additionally, you will:

• Perform unit and system test and as needed, including validation testing
• Assist DBA with database design
• Coordinate with Operations staff on deployment of applications
• Work with business partners to analyze and address support requests including training
• Provide support for existing systems and technologies, including second line application support during and after deployment
• Ensure all activities are performed with quality and compliance
• Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Develop professional expertise and apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
• Receive general instructions on routine work, with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Build productive internal and external working relationships
• Frequently interact with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups
• Work independently with little guidance or reliance on verbal or written instructions and plan work schedules to meet goals
• Perform a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• At least 3 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
• Must be able to multitask and pay close attention to detail
• Solid knowledge of .NET and/or Java, Web Services ETL, and related technologies and protocols (SOAP, SOA, XML, MVC, LINQ, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of basic relational database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) and languages (PL/SQL, SQL)
• Strong logic, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through verbal communication
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to perform under stress
