As the Agile Team Lead, you will drive Agile projects to completion by leading, planning, execution, and delivering sprints. You will schedule and facilitate Agile ceremonies for digital products. You will also work closely with the Technology Platform Manager and Product Owner to champion the team’s development and delivery of incremental business functionality following Agile concepts and principles. Additionally, you will:

  • Assist an Agile team by removing any working obstacles and by facilitating a healthy and productive team dynamic
  • Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Agile best practices to guide the team on issues encountered during the software development life cycle
  • Assist in remediating team issues while helping to keep the team on track with the release schedule
  • Work toward developing, identifying, analyzing, and improving existing Agile business processes including applying process definition, improvement, and design methodologies to identify, analyze, and improve business processes to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, increase customer satisfaction, etc.
  • Work toward developing documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analysis
  • Organize and facilitate all scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other meetings as needed
  • Ensure all product backlog items and stories are broken down to the task level
  • Monitor and maintain agile team reports including burn down charts, velocity reports, and sprint escapes
  • Work with the Agile team to pull work from the backlog into each sprint and to plan the sprints
  • Coordinate with other Agile Team Leaders on integration and interdependency of requirements
  • Guide the team to ensure a solid understanding of the ceremonies, expectations, deliverables, dependencies, and their role in the Agile development methodology
  • Provide guidance and facilitates conversations as needed on sizing stories, choosing stories for sprints, splitting stories, and determining story details
  • Coordinate with quality assurance and compliance processes
  • Remove barriers and risks for the Agile team as they are identified
  • Coordinate with the Product Owner on prioritizing and grooming the product backlog

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Team Leader, Agile Business Analyst, or Agile Project Manager for a software development team that diligently applied Agile principles and practices
  • At least 4 years of experience working on SDLC projects in one or more capacities
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • First level Scrum Master certification (Professional Scrum Master I or Certified Scrum Master preferred)
  • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to exemplify and promote Agile values and principles
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Strong communicator, personable, strong business analysis skills, collaborative mindset, and inquisitive behavior and disposition
