As the Director of IT, you will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and support of all corporate and infrastructure related information technology functions of the organization and ensure departmental goals are successfully achieved. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure cloud infrastructure, network, hardware, and software support needs are met. You will also manage, administer, and support our cloud-based corporate IT systems like G-Suite, Kandji, SentinelOne, Lattice, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Zoom, Slack, Expensify, and Salesforce. Additionally, you will:

  • Assist direct reports and contractors with problem solving within direct teams and remote systems
  • Maintain responsibility for employee satisfaction on support and operations
  • Monitor and disseminate information regarding issues, feedback, development changes, and improvement plans to meet desired result
  • Ensure systems and software implementations are thorough, resulting in limits within guidance of price and performance
  • Create and maintain implementation processes that are streamlined, efficient, and easily adaptable to the business and operations
  • Align IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
  • Evaluate risk, developing systems recovery and backup process and procedures
  • Create, implement, and maintain documentation and processes in sustaining ISO 27001 and SOC audits
  • Hold IT Operations team accountable to tasks, timelines, and quality
  • Oversee, lead, and deliver DevOps and DataOps best practices for our cloud Stellarworx platform, data lake, and data warehouse
  • Work with our InfoSec/Compliance team to ensure a practical and secure cloud deployment strategy
  • Champion focus on production stability with product teams and lead improvements in incident management processes
  • Participate and manage team participation in root cause analysis leading to clear process changes and improvements
  • Manage the teams’ 24x7 responsibilities with the ability to quickly resolve after hours high priority incidents

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 10 years of progressive IT management experience within an IT Operations and Infrastructure organization with at least 6 years as a technology manager or leader
  • At least 7 years of management experience of outsourced or help desk contracted services
  • At least 7 years of experience managing corporate PC and tech support service
  • At least 7 years of experience managing DevOps teams
  • At least 7 years of experience building and implementing cloud-based deployment pipelines
  • At least 5 years of technical project management experience on complex systems such as installs, upgrades, or direct implementations of software
  • Exposure to multiple diverse technologies and processing environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical partners
  • Experience deploying and administering software applications in cloud environments such as AWS (preferred), GCP, and Azure
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration tools such as Chef, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
  • Security minded with the ability to balance the tradeoffs of security vs functionality
  • Experience evaluating, purchasing, and implementing IT solutions
  • Experience working in a fast paced, changing, and growth-oriented environment
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proven success executing projects within expected timelines and with limited resources
  • Security experience with firewalls and basic configurations and penetration understanding
  • Experience with cybersecurity and/or SOX compliance
  • Experience with IT purchasing and direct buying of company IT products
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
