As the Business Intelligence Project Manager, you will develop an in-depth understanding of business strategies, priorities and initiatives. You will put business needs and business benefits at the center of technology initiatives. You will develop partnerships and champions collaboration with business and IT leaders. You will lead and participate in projects related to business intelligence, data initiatives and CRM capabilities. You will establish priorities, create timelines, ensure collaboration between business and IT, provide guidance to project team members, assign tasks and monitor performance of team members. You will stay informed on new capabilities of business intelligence and data analysis tools by attending vendor conferences and participating in local forums and online communities. You will mentor peers and IT teams across the enterprise on new capabilities and the potential business benefits. You will design and maintain a curriculum for coaching and training business customers in the use of business intelligence tools. You will share knowledge of multiple databases, data flows and relationships across various sources. You will lead the development of best practices for use of business intelligence tools and optimized data structure. You solve complex business and technical problems and frequently challenge proposed solutions to assure optimal results for the enterprise. You will provide analysis and reporting to executives on confidential matters. You will monitor production support activities for the department, assure issues are resolved, root cause identified when possible and permanent solutions implemented. You will also assist in the selection, negotiation and management of technology relationships with vendors.

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate selection criteria experience
  • Advanced SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) and relational database knowledge required
  • Advanced BI/reporting tool knowledge required (Tableau, Cognos, Crystal Reports, etc.).
  • Exposure to CRM tools such as SalesPage, Salesforce, etc.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database and report development applications.
  • Working knowledge of ETL and Dimensional Data Modeling concepts
  • Proven strong experience in SQL, relational database knowledge, reporting, business intelligence and CRM support
  • Demonstrated advanced experience with query, analysis and business intelligence tools
  • Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of a variety of internal and external data sources; includes knowledge of data extract optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to understand overall business objectives and establish appropriate priority across multiple projects
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels of associates
  • Demonstrated experience developing partnerships with business and IT leaders
  • Demonstrated leadership across all phases of conceptualization, design, development, testing, training and support of data and business intelligence solutions
  • Proven experience leading the development of best practices and standards for use of business intelligence tools, optimized data structure and best methods to deliver meaningful insights back to the business partners
  • Proven ability to challenge solutions
  • Proven experience defining curriculum for coaching and training business customers in the use of business intelligence tools
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce uncertainty and to manage ambiguity
  • Deals constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions
  • Demonstrated adaptability to adjust to multiple demands, deadlines, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team
  • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
