As the OCR Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in both large-scale end-to-end automation programs and smaller, tactical OCR-related solutioning. You will formulate and define Hyperscience OCR systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business solutions and business requirements. You will also analyze, identify, and write detailed descriptions of complex business requirements, program functions, and downstream data models required to develop Hyperscience OCR form layouts and Hyperscience OCR platform management policies. Additionally, you will:

  • Make recommendations for business process improvements contributing to overall process automation strategy
  • Manage production support of the Hyperscience OCR platform to meet expected SLAs
  • Manage and execute Hyperscience OCR platform version upgrade process
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT to understand automation OCR needs and to communicate production status and issues
  • Closely collaborate with the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Service Manager to ensure seamless execution between OCR and RPA systems
  • Lead small to moderately complex projects from start to finish to deliver both OCR-specific capabilities and OCR as a component of multi-system automation programs
  • Manage cost accounting of the service and work with the IT finance team to formulate cost transfers
  • Perform complex requirements development, coverage analysis, impact analysis, and modification
  • Lead Center of Excellence (COE) team in day-to-day production support and on-going process improvement
  • May manage multiple 3rd-party providers as part of the COE
  • May serve as Scrum Master on an Agile team, helping the team through a combination of facilitation and coaching while also helping those outside the team understand how to interact with the team
  • May serve as an Agile development team member, creating and testing the product increment

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in project management and business analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Hands-on experience with Hyperscience is desired, but not required due to the newness of the application
  • Willingness to learn and perform end-to-end platform management including coding, testing, and debugging, and to perform application upgrades into a virtualized platform environment
  • Experience with automation tools such as UiPath Orchestrator and/or other OCR systems
