As the Sr Business Sys Analyst II (Tableau), you will solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. You will formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. You will also gather and write requirements and design specifications for the most complex, business critical systems. Additionally, you will:

• Be responsible for requirements planning and assessing level of effort
• Provide direction for junior staff and peer reviews work for quality standards and best practices
• Lead efforts to define interaction of data with other systems and databases or client companies
• Work with developers, QA testers, validation team members, and managers to create and analyze required project documentation
• Assist in time and resource estimates of requirements and design initiatives
• Manage projects of moderate or complex scope
• Stay abreast with the latest developments in related technologies, and share knowledge with team members
• Train on new technologies and tools that are related to job duties.
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Recieve little instruction on day-to-day work, with general instructions on new assignments
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for
  obtaining solutions
• Represent the department as a prime contact on projects
• Interact with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional areas
• Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
• Work independently with little guidance or reliance on verbal or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals
• Perform a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• At least 6 years of experience working in a software development environment
• At least 4 years of experience in requirement and design specifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong understanding of system development life cycle and requirements methodology
• Strong understanding of requirement gathering methodologies, for example waterfall, Agile, Spiral, JAD sessions, as well as best practices
• Ability to write use cases
• Strong understanding of different requirement types such as Business, User, Functional, and non- Functional
• Ability to write design specifications for complex systems
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Ability to estimate level of effort
• Ability to mentor junior level Business System Analyst team members
• Strong business skills including documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to interact with relational databases at an advanced level
• Working knowledge of Tableau software
• Ability to perform under stress
• Ability to multi-task
