As the Robotic Process Automation Program Leader, you will facilitate the governance, selection, and execution of RPA projects to achieve intended results. You will lead a matrixed team of business and technical experts in support of the translation and execution of requirements into well architected and documented RPA solutions that best leverage the enterprise RPA platform. You will also define and ensure adherence to delivery processes which focus on the life cycle of managing RPA project scope, deliverables, and timelines using PMI Agile (DASM, DASSM, DAC, and DAVSC) or similar industry standards for Agile methodologies. Additionally, you will:

  • Manage robotic process automation projects through the creation of project plans and/or management of backlogs through the Agile project management framework
  • Ensure requirements are documented, traceable, and testable through implementation
  • Provide regular updates, escalate issues, and bridge the gap between technical, business, and leadership needs
  • Manage work effort within defined time, budget, and scope
  • Provide structure to manage ongoing support of RPA bots against ongoing changes to robotic process dependencies
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff to exchange information, ideas, and answer inquiries
  • Use change management policies and procedures to navigate the change management process for RPA deployments and changes
  • Participate in departmental activities relating to employee engagement
  • Maintain a relationship with I&T leaders and staff and facilitate sharing and implementation of lessons learned and best practices across the business
  • Provide occasional after hours support when required
  • Coordinate with third party integration and vendor resources as appropriate
  • Facilitate governance sessions to review business cases for RPA, recommend automation use cases for implementation, define metrics, and enable reporting on program effectiveness
  • Evangelize Robotic Process Automation within the ministry by working across functional groups to educate and promote the capabilities and efficiencies that can be achieved through automation

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading technology projects or implementation experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with Agile project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information and Technology
  • PMI Agile certification (DASM, DASSM, DAC, or DAVSC) or similar industry standard
  • Superior time management and goal accomplishment skills
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Experience with process mapping, design, and optimization with a focus on Lean outcomes
  • Assertiveness
  • Ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience leading and implementing automation initiatives
