As the Senior OpenShift Infra Consultant, you will work to gain an understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve their issues, and help them make strategic decisions. You will build enterprise applications and capabilities around cloud technologies to streamline development and allow for continuous feature release of applications. You will also manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, implementation, testing, customer training, and deployment of open source solutions. Additionally, you will: 

  • Develop or modernize applications or infrastructure
  • Architect applications (application servers, integration patterns, microservices, JEE, CI/CD, build management)
  • Work on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies
  • Use frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar and JavaScript
  • Communicate value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders in both technical and business audience
  • Provide application containerization management
  • Use in-depth best practices to develop micro services architectures and Dockers
  • Maintain and enhance automation to support setup and provisioning of new projects in OCP
  • Maintain environment and tool configurations, such as Jenkins
  • Configure and administrate RHEL operating system
  • Build and manage Docker baseline images for Tomcat, Apache Web Server, WebLogic, and JBoss
  • Widen platform for additional Middleware Docker images of OpenShift Docker platform
  • Assess the infrastructure capacity needs and configure the application deployment (DCs) to allocate resources
  • Analyze the readiness of the application to adopt microservices
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Work on problems of a diverse scope where analysis of data is required

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, including recent hands-on expertise with OpenShift Container Platform, DevOps Middleware, Enterprise Web, CI/CD, Agile, Java/JEE, Red Hat JBoss Fuse, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • At least 3 years of experience with DevOps middleware, CI/CD, Java/JEE, Agile, Red Hat JBoss Fuse Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible, and Satellite
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IS, engineering, or related field
  • Exceptional communication skills to interface and manage end user stakeholders and mentor technical and functional users
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
