As the Database/ETL Developer, you will serve as secondary Database/ETL Developer for enterprise data warehouse and SQL databases. You will be responsible for general warehouse and database development and support, including testing and debugging existing code, extending and supporting existing code, analyzing and reviewing technical requirements for new and existing data structures, and report writing and documentation. You will also perform database lifecycle development including designing and building tables, store procedures, schemas, ETL processes and specifications, data modeling, database maintenance, and performance tuning. Additionally, you will:

  • Maintain database standards and data access security
  • Work directly with analysts and/or end users collecting project requirements
  • Design new and maintain existing database solutions
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain database applications
  • Assist internal staff with reports and database development
  • Executing general software development and systems support
  • Write and develop reports
  • Support existing software projects

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • At least 5 years of proven experience building database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Relational database development experience
  • Full software/database development lifecycle experience
  • Technologically savvy with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications
  • Proven working knowledge of general software development and systems support
  • Proven knowledge of computer technology including T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Visual Studio
  • Strong applied ETL skills
  • Experience with star schemas and cubes
  • Experience with Microsoft Sequel Server SQL 2012, 2014, and 2016
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey information and ideas with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple projects
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting

Great Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Sisense and/or other BI tools
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
