Senior Electrical Project Manager - Construction Aggregates Production

Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, this position will collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to help conceptualize, plan, construct, and complete projects on time and on budget. This position is responsible for providing a world-class finished product for Operations by applying innovative and safe electrical design. SOUTH CENTRAL OR SOUTHEASTERN US LOCATIONS AVAILABLE.   • Manage project electrical design, cost estimation, and preparation of bid documents
  • Review contracts, bids, and vendor selection
  • Provide lead in electrical estimates, design, standards, and specifications
  • Coordinate and oversee projects from conception to completion
  • Coordinate electrical installation with utilities, mechanical installation, and automation groups
  • Manage field construction projects, electrical construction, and commission projects
  • Communicate clearly with Operations, managers, and all levels of plant personnel
  • Ensure all responsibilities are performed in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical project management
  • Must have previous experience working in a mining and/or minerals processing environement
  • Experience with three-phase power design, VFD’s, motor controls, and PLC’s
  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 70 and 70E
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft products
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Effective reporting, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong personal commitment to safety
  • Ability to travel 40%
