Our retained client-Van Wert Federal is a nearly $130 MM Bank in The Great State of Ohio, committed to continuing its mission as a community bank with a Plan of Conversion.
A well-qualified candidate for the President & CEO position must have a minimum of twenty years’ experience in the banking industry with at least ten years in a senior management role. Prior CEO experience in an SEC bank is preferred. Ideally, this experience will include:
Well-rounded senior management experience with a successful track record of accomplishments and very strong financial and analytical skills within a community bank setting. Above average R.O.A. and/or R.O.E.; low delinquency ratios; solid regulatory ratings; and a positive growth pattern, etc. This individual must possess a good knowledge base from which to quickly learn the operations of the bank.
Strong ability to cultivate such key areas as Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, Commercial Lending, and Core Deposits as well as significantly growing an organization through development of a strong sales culture.
An entrepreneurial spirit with the vision required to achieve the bank’s stated goals and objectives as well as the ability to handle an infinite array of day-to-day operational matters incidental to this customer driven organization within the bank’s footprint.
An above average understanding of a variety of systems, risk management, credit administration, and procedures in order to effectively grow and develop “Best Practices” for the bank. Additionally, this candidate will be a visionary, able to structure and promote growth in all areas of the bank.
