A well-qualified candidate for the newly created Senior Internal Auditor position must have a minimum of fifteen years’ experience in the banking industry with at five years in a senior audit officer, or compliance management role, in a regional or super regional bank. Ideally, this experience will include:
Well-rounded audit, risk management, or compliance background with the ability to work seamlessly in a dual reporting relationship with the CEO, BOD, and Audit Committee. This individual must possess a good knowledge base from which to quickly learn the operations, and culture of the bank;
Our ideal candidate will develop an Internal Audit program with the necessary controls to support the demands of a rapidly expanding, diversified multi-billion dollar regional bank consisting of several metro and numerous rural community markets across Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri;
We are looking for someone that understands how to develop an internal audit program for the Bank and the holding company, while staying focused on emerging risk factors to develop policies, and procedures to support a scalable Internal Audit program;
A well-rounded background in regulatory, audit, and risk management. Our Internal Auditor leads the examination and audit process to ensure a smooth experience and actionable results. Assists senior management with SOX key controls. Maintains open communication with regulators and external auditors, advising them of major issues and seeking advice when necessary. Our candidate will possess the necessary experience to bring Best Practices to the bank’s Internal Audit program.
