Overview
An UHNW Principal in Malibu is seeking a discreet, detail-oriented, and service-minded Executive Housekeeper / House Manager to oversee the daily operations and presentation of the residence. This hands-on role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong visual awareness, and the ability to anticipate needs while ensuring the property is always guest-ready. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-service environment, works well with long-term household staff, and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain overall appearance, cleanliness, and aesthetic of the home; ensure property is always ready for guests and entertaining.
- Exercise strong visual awareness to proactively identify when areas require attention—whether repairs, replenishment, or detailed housekeeping.
- Provide personal valet support, including packing, unpacking, laundry management, and wardrobe care.
- Oversee kitchen, food, and household inventory; ensure freshness, manage restocking, and coordinate special requests.
- Work with trusted household staff (two Housekeepers and one Houseman) with minimal oversight, supporting teamwork and consistency.
- Coordinate with interior vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure the home and Principal are always cared for.
- Assist with formal and informal entertaining, including meal and beverage service, bartending, and guest hospitality.
- Support event preparation, execution, and cleanup.
- Pet-friendly and willing to assist with pet-related needs as required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a private UHNW household as an Executive Housekeeper, House Manager, Butler, or similar high-level hospitality role.
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to visually scan the home and intuitively identify needs.
- Strong service background with knowledge of formal and informal service, food and beverage, and guest relations.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; able to anticipate Principal’s and household needs.
- Professional, polished, and discreet with excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable leading and supporting a long-term household team.
- Flexible, hands-on, and positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
