Chief Operations Officer and Integrator

Together with our client, Route Networking Group is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Chief Operating Officer to help propel an already successful startup to the next level. Here, you'll be working to improve access to "the beautiful game." Our client’s BHAG is “Soccer in every neighborhood”. When installing world-class 5-a-side soccer fields, they create community, joy, health, and access to improve the US's play-level in this international dominated game. From individual backyards to soccer clubs to parks to World Cup arenas, their products give greater access to soccer enthusiasts of all levels and promote play for a lifetime.

Functional Responsibilities:

As a sports-centric organization, teamwork is not just an idea but an active necessity for this company. We’re seeking a strategic leader that will embody this ethos and translate the day-to-day requirements of the organization to the leadership team. As an avid EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) implementor, an ideal candidate will have a strong familiarity with the EOS/Traction system and full familiarity with the role of an “Integrator”.

Ultimately, the COO will oversee all functional areas of the business and work closely with the CEO to execute company growth plans and strategy. He/She will own the “details” and thrive in an action-oriented environment. Exceptional problem-solving skills, incessant attention-to-detail and organizational abilities, a collaborative leadership mindset, as well as a phenomenal customer-focus will all contribute success in this position. An ideal candidate will be comfortable diving in and helping at all levels—from operations/logistics, to IT, to sales and marketing and will be equally comfortable in a “player” role as well as a “coach”. We leave egos at the door come to the field with our “boots laced” and ready to be a starter at any position we’re needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 10+ years operational/entrepreneurial experience with high-growth companies
    • Must have demonstratable experience scaling and growing companies, preferably with multiple marketing verticals//customer segments.
    • Must be familiar with consumer goods/ non-service-based businesses that require supply chain operations
  • STRONG familiarity and/or experience in the EOS/Traction Operating System
    • Must self-identify as “Integrator” and demonstrate history of success in similar roles.
    • Strong preference for candidates that have implemented EOS previously.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and self-motivated, independent work ethic. We need someone that can anticipate needs and act; a true “startup mentality”
  • A Passion for collaboration, leadership, and team-development
    • Demonstratable excellence in growing and building teams, with multiple direct reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels in an organization. This role will work with a diverse array of employees, vendors, and stakeholders and the ideal candidate needs to be able to effectively communicate with each.
  • Self-discipline to manage multiple processes on schedule.
  • Unwavering commitment to an exceptional customer experience and a strong customer ethos.
  • Familiarity with or passion for Soccer (or sports in general)
  • Experience creating reports, reading/editing technical documents, and communicating with diverse groups including investors.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in related field
  • Familiar with risk-management and/or previous legal background
  • Basic knowledge of or experience with HubSpot platform and marketing tools.
