We are searching for a highly-skilled, motivated Senior Project Engineer to contribute to growth and assist in maintaining our position as an innovative authority in the construction industry. The ideal TEAM member will have experience in all phases of commercial construction. Working with the Project Manager, this position is responsible to provide complete, accurate review of project information to ensure all work complies with contract documents.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all project documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of project schedules and manage deadlines
  • Provide technical assistance for the project TEAM
  • Effectively communicate project progress to key stakeholders
  • Complete project close-out packages

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • MS Project, BlueBeam experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills

 

More Details 

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a PE role
  • Preferred, bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering technology, or similar
  • Experience with commercial or retail projects such as mid-rise, office, tenant improvements, multi-family, etc. Project values of $10M+
  • Can “own” the RFI and submittal processes (create logs, pursue submittals, follow-up with trades, review technical submittals, strategically craft RFIs)
  • Experience with change order management, specifically how to manage costs arising from RFIs. Can put together change orders for large changes for PM review
  • Can perform quantity take-off’s as part of vetting change order requests
  • Accustomed to an environment that moves at a fast pace. Can manage stress without falling apart
  • Has a solid understanding of the overall construction process, ideally having seen multiple projects from start to finish
  • Can manage the closeout process, including pushing punch lists to completion
  • Accustomed to managing 2-3 projects concurrently
  • Has some sort of field experience or time in the field stationed on a project
  • Currently in the Idaho Treasure Valley area, or willing to relocate
  • Salary range is $70K+ depending on experience.
