Litigation Associate Attorney

The litigation associate attorney is responsible for managing cases from beginning to end and they must have a strong desire to gain trial experience. They should have a passion for working hard, superior writing and analytical skills, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. While our client certainly expects everyone on their team to work hard, they also appreciate and respect that they have a life outside of work. Therefore, they reduced their annual billable hour requirement in 2017 to 1,680, which is lower than industry standard.

After reviewing their firm’s casework and conducting extensive interviews with their clients and other Idaho litigators, Benchmark Litigation named our client's firm the “Idaho Litigation Firm of the Year” for the 4th consecutive year.

Essential job Functions:

  • Handle discovery
  • Prepare briefs
  • Take and defend depositions

  • J.D.
  • Active Idaho State Bar license or eligible for reciprocity
  • At least 2 years of civil litigation defense experience, preferably medical malpractice
  • Experience with eDiscovery software
  • Judicial clerkship preferred

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift files and boxes, up to 30 pounds.
