Insurance Operations Specialist

Route Networking Group - Boise, ID

The Insurance Operations Specialist is responsible for the efficient insurance operations processes for the firm in accordance with regulatory policies and firm procedures. The Insurance Operations Specialist will help increase productivity by providing client servicing, integrated operations support, and being a subject matter expert for the Advisor team. Hepworth & Associates provides financial planning services and offers Life, Disability, Long Term Care, and related insurance products.

Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

Client Servicing

  • Monitor the overall service support functions of the insurance operations, including policy creation and maintenance, premium payments, and claim submission.

  • Process or collaborate with others to process insurance policy applications, medical screening requirements, policy transfers, and service requests.

  • Manage workflow to and from advisory and servicing teams. Track the status of client activities through discovery, analysis, closing, and implementation of insurance products and services. Provide status updates to clients and communicate with them to resolve any issues.

  • Collaborate with financial advisors, clients, other servicing team members, and external insurance entities during the execution of duties.

Insurance Operations

  • Oversee the administrative functions of the insurance operations ensuring compliance requirements are implemented and followed in alignment with best practices.

  • Monitor and update advisors and servicing team on internal policy changes, industry trends, and regulatory updates.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements for the insurance operations and administrative functions to enhance productivity, accuracy, and profitability of the firm.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to advisors and clients regarding insurance products, processes, and services. Create custom reports for advisors and clients utilizing various proprietary systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Industry Experience

Required

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills, with the
  • ability to work well with others
  • Natural curiosity and self-motivated to learn
  • Patient, methodical, and efficient.

Additional Desired Skills

Preferred (but not required)

  • Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, and/or related field
  • 1-3 years of insurance servicing, sales, or underwriting-related experience
