Saenger Associates has been exclusively retained to find a Key Account Manager for the Heavy Duty/Off Road (HVOR) Division of our client, a public $3.0 billion global leader in top of the line customized, innovative sensors and controls. Reporting to the Head of North American Sales, the Key Account Manager will strategically manage the relationship and long-term sales growth of a critical global OEM customer who contributes a significant portion of revenues. The HVOR business has plans to double in size in 5 years.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a trusted advisor to key decision makers within the customer organization, proactively driving high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring that quality of service and production delivery continue to be a differentiator
  • Build and leverage relationships with engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and buying influences to identify key product / application new business opportunities to expand the relationship achieving sales and share growth with the customer
  • Work closely with and influence Sales Support Engineer, Resident Engineers, Quality Champion, managing and directing workflow and maintaining performance for supplier scorecard
  • Be a proactive problem solver and Voice of the Customer, working with team members and management to ensure success

  • YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES
  • Overall 10 years’ successful strategic account management experience in the $30M range, as well as a foundation in technical product sales/sales management
  • Successful experience developing deep OEM client partnerships, as well as collaborating closely and effectively with engineering, production, customer service, quality, manufacturing and others to develop new business opportunities
  • Track record of achieving sales and share growth with customers
  • Industry specific experience should include commercial vehicle, off-road machinery or automotive
  • Energy, hunger for growth, and a drive for results
  • Intellectual horsepower, strategic thinker, well-rounded communication skills
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Ability to travel frequently
