We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our client's team in Albany, NY. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

  • Create and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules, coordinate daily field activities, and monitor progress against the master schedule

  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring full compliance with contracts, scopes, and safety standards

  • Enforce site-wide safety policies and OSHA compliance, creating a proactive safety culture

  • Interpret and review construction documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals

  • Support scope review and buyout processes in partnership with preconstruction and project management teams

  • Perform daily quality control inspections, identifying and resolving field issues quickly and effectively

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to drive project goals, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless coordination

  • Manage jobsite documentation including daily reports, safety logs, manpower tracking, and progress photos

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required

  • 7–10 years of experience as a Superintendent on complex commercial construction projects

  • Strong background in federal, K-12, and/or higher education construction preferred

  • Expertise in scheduling, construction sequencing, safety enforcement, and subcontractor coordination

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and technical specifications

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to lead field teams and collaborate with clients and design professionals

  • Commitment to quality craftsmanship, integrity, and professionalism

  • Local travel to job sites in the Albany and surrounding Capital Region is required
