    • Conducts psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, and observations.
    • o Provides psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support.
    • o Analyze data and results of assessments to accurately diagnose patients.
    • o Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis and best practices.
    • o Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications.
    • o Develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and adjust as needed.
    • o Communicates with patients and engages in follow-up, as necessary.
    • o Provide crisis intervention as needed.
    • o Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
    • o Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to assess and adjust treatment plans.
    • o Coordinate and communicate with patients, parents/guardians, case managers, and other stakeholders about treatment and care.
    • o Supervises medical support staff including nurses and medical assistants.

      • Eligible to work in the United States.
      • Able to pass all necessary background checks (Idaho DHW, CMS) and drug screening.
      • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders criteria
      • Familiar with crisis assessment tools and techniques
      • Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Education and Experience:

      • Master of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
      • Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the State of Idaho.
      • Licensed or license eligible to practice medicine in Idaho.
      • Current or eligible for DEA registration
      • Three (3) years of experience related to the above describe duties preferred.
      • Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
      • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
