JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

• Develops and implements global labor relations strategy for 30Kplus employees  in US and Canada.
• Compiles information on areas of dispute with unions to determine point of issue, according to knowledge of labor, business and government responsibilities under state, federal and / or provincial law.
• Provides ongoing training, counsel and recommendations on wages, hours and working conditions to aid in proactive positive employee relations in non-union facilities.
• Responsible for ROI in management of the near site clinics that provide to 14 clinics.
• Provides insights and expertise on various regional and global strategic projects
• May provide leadership oversight for Nurse/Occ Health and/or  Business Support Services

  Industrial Relations Leader will counsel and help our employees with all issues guided by company’s employee relations policy and labor-law legislation. We seek a professional with the interpersonal skills to investigate employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions and complaints. In this role, you will establish and cultivate labor management relations, representing our organization in contract negotiations with labor unions.

  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Direct investigations concerning employee/management inquiries and employee suggestions and complaints.
• Develops, designs and interprets policies, trainings and communication, recommending corrective action policy revisions and improvements for employee relations.
• Provide leadership in managing a function that includes multiple related departments.
• Direct, interpret and recommend modifications to company wide policies and practices.
• Oversee the establishment and implementation of policies appropriate for the function.
• Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree
