Position

The Data Systems Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the design, implementation, training, and maintenance of SHI NA’s data management systems. This person will ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility to meet the needs of the various departments across the organization. Key duties include database administration, data quality monitoring, data security, and data analysis and reports to extract valuable insights.

The Data Systems Manager will liaise closely with our team in Israel as well as all program staff to manage and maintain key platforms and systems while remaining flexible and creative as the year unfolds.

Based in NY, sitting on the Operations and IT teams, this person will report to the Chief Information Officer, and will work closely with Educational Operations leadership, marketing, and the fundraising department. The Data Systems Manager will need to possess a strong customer-service demeanor, excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve, suburb relational skills and initiative, excel in a fast-paced environment, and passion for the mission of SHI NA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and implement data management policies

  • Prepare customized forms and reports to meet the strategic needs and goals of teams across the organization

  • Perform quality assurance and version change testing for organizational systems

  • Design new systems as needed to meet the needs of the organization

  • Design, implement, and train users on the Institute's key data management systems, such as SalesForce, Form Assembly, SurveyMonkey, Mail Chimp, Monday.com, HartmanConnect, website backend coding, and others

  • Provide application support for organizational systems as needed

  • Ensure data accuracy and cleanliness

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in Salesforce implementation / administration, or a similar CRM with preference for hands-on software experience (such as software testing (QA), implementation, system design, etc.)

  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional, customer-service oriented demeanor, ability to “manage up” and around effectively

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple complex tasks

  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment and under tight deadlines

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

  • Passion for SHI NA’s mission

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Basic proficiency with Hebrew a plus

  • Track record of demonstrating sound judgment by making appropriate decisions and knowing when to take initiative in identifying problems and devising solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

    Salary and Benefits: Salary range $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package.
