Business Development Coordinator

Sierra HR Partners (CASA of Kings County ) - Hanford, CA

Located in Hanford, CA, CASA of Kings County provides specially selected and trained community volunteers to advocate for foster children in pursuit of safe and permanent homes and hopeful futures. We are looking for a full-time Business Development Coordinator to share our mission with the public and generate additional support for those we serve. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, this position will be responsible for increasing community awareness of CASA of Kings County, identifying and recruiting new advocate volunteers, supporting fund development efforts, and cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with a variety of community organizations.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify groups for advocate recruiting presentations; schedule and conduct engaging presentations.
  • Represent CASA at community events, identifying new community events for representation.
  • Cultivate relationships with both current and prospective donors.
  • Recruit additional donors, including soliciting donations from individuals and businesses through in person solicitation, direct mail, telephone, and other methods.
  • Build relationships with businesses, service clubs, and other organizations within Kings County to engage them in recruiting and fundraising.
  • Manage all social media accounts including updating the agency’s website with working links and other visually appealing materials.
  • Assist in developing promotional materials to support recruiting and fundraising.
  • Help coordinate CASA of Kings County’s annual fundraising event including recruiting volunteers, communicating with vendors, soliciting auction items, and providing gratitude and thank you letters following the event.
  • Assist in developing internal communication efforts including the Agency Newsletter.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director and Assistant Director as needed.


    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A valid California Driver's License and insurance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year applicable experience in marketing, public relations, social media management, fundraising, or similar responsibilities required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information relating to children, advocates, and the organization.
  • Detail oriented with strong observation, analytical, and listening skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence, and collateral while maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and software including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

  • This position offers a competitive salary between $26 - $30 per hour with generous employee benefits including Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays.
