Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Operations Team Lead is responsible for providing additional capacity and oversight of overflow tasks and follow-up. The primary objective of this role is to support daily operations, identify operational issues, and propose and manage solutions that improve safety, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Operations Team Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating activities and information between various departments.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage vendor and incident responses, from accidents to spills.
- Oversee client relationships including new client implementation, inquiries and issues
- Coordinate fleet and equipment repairs and status updates.
- Support operational efficiency, from terminal reviews to truck damage follow-ups.
- Assist in fuel supply coordination, identify and implement process improvements.
- Enhance driver management and ensure compliance with policies.
- Drive technology integration and handle diverse administrative tasks.
- Ensure safety rules and e-fuel policies are followed and perform site inspections.
- Support the Operations team by coordinating resolutions to issues related to truck computers, site, or cameras.
- Handle various organizational duties and provide support to departments and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- 5-10 years in operations or logistics, with leadership experience preferably within the transportation industry
- Proven ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Hours and Pay
- Monday through Friday; evenings and weekends as needed.
- $90,000 - $110,000 annual salary
